Stories & Knowledge Integration | Building A Dialogue

Telling a story isn’t simply a matter of conveying information from one party to another.  It is a matter of presenting information in a way that engages.  A good story doesn’t end when one party stops spewing information.  It continues into a conversation, and over time it can erupt into a dialogue.

In person, telling a story often involves clarifications, interruptions and give/take.  It is a way of expressing the concept of community.  The best crafted tales build-in points of discussion and connection to the audience.

Applications can be constructed which tell complex stories, allow for audience interaction, clarify those points, and evolve into a conversation.  What’s better, because of advances in technology, it can be done with the faces of people—often times many people.
