& Applications Development | StatFrame
Pages, Schmages
StatFrame is a statistics reporting an analytics application designed for Rich Media Applications and Rich Internet Applications. It tracks a user’s behavior as well as application behavior for a given Flash application. Whether a simple click, or a mouse-over, or a video-watching duration, StatFrame can report and store them all.
Instead of tracking pages, like most web site analytics, StatFrame tracks objects and states, which is a more appropriate action for a stateful web application. This tracking of objects allows you to know exactly what portion of your data a user is exploring, and where to or from you may need to direct your continuing content efforts.
Sessions & Aggregates
Seeing all the information together to find and follow trends is helpful, but StatFrame also provides direct access to every independent session in which a user participates. Every click, every gesture, in fact, the entire sequence of their experience from beginning to end is laid out, whether 15 actions or 2,000.
Quizzes, Forms, User Preferences
In addition to tracking behavior, StatFrame has the ability to store XML data along with a session, and user credentials which may span multiple sessions. A corollary to that storage is the ability to retrieve and process the data in the same or a different session. This feature is helpful for quizzing (secure or public), user preferences, and multi-user experiences.
Technology
The data collection portion of StatFrame is a service by GroundWork Design, hosted on our
Rackspace infrastructure. It uses HTTP-header wrapped compressed persistent socket connections with a fallback to HTTP compressed communication. It has been tested and proven to function through all firewalls without the use of proxy servers or other settings changes.
Pricing
StatFrame is available for $75/month for most applications. Adding StatFrame to a preexisting application carries a cost of $1,500, but with the first year of StatFrame service included.
