Unified Tour Model

Where our modern understanding of Discrete Data began.  The Unified Tour began as the Unified Data Model and was an attempt to make a content-neutral application which appealed to diverse presentation perspectives.  The compromise application was implemented with 4 different ways of approaching data: Procedural, Spatial, Topical, and Semi-Chronological.

The Unified Tour application is built around a few main ways of approaching information, and then the subsequent interconnection of that information to create expansive knowledge concepts.  Many people try to approach the Unified Tour as a marketing tool, but it was built to be a knowledge-repository—fundamentally allowing the knowledge of an organization to be exposed and consumed as a user wants to perceive it.

The Unified Tour is the first solution we recommend (if the shoe fits) because it accomplishes most of the tasks of our custom applications, but takes months less to create and implement.  Because the data contained in it really drives the application, every Unified Tour is different.

“Unified” as we call it, allows you to describe almost anything, and is even a place to start off if future intentions are more customized.
