Taking the time to construct something in the form of a story expresses an intent to have information or knowledge shared in a pleasing way. It is an extra effort that both aids a reader/viewer/user/recipient in their understanding and in their willingness to try to understand.
Stories are packaged experiences. Different stories can tell so many different tales, each of which may present the same information in alternate lights. Stories can be spoken, written, or visual.
